The Sailing Squadron concerts are generally held on the last Monday of each month. The covered pavilion where the concerts are held is surrounded on three sides by water. How to get there
The Sailing Squadron Club is located at 1717 Ken Thompson Pkwy, City Island, Sarasota. From I75, take Exit 210, Fruitville Rd. (Rt 780). Travel West on Fruitville until it dead-ends at Rt 41. Turn left, go one block to Rt 789 at the next light. Turn right and follow Rt 789 to St. Armand's Circle. Turn right at the circle and on towards Mote Aquarium and Longboat Key. Just before the bridge to Longboat, turn right at the Mote Aquarium sign, Ken Thompson Pkwy. You will pass Mote Aquarium on the right. Continue to the end of Ken Thompson Parkway and go around the loop. Turn right at the "Folk Concert Tonight" sign at the gate, enter, and park somewhere not blocking a boat's access. The concert is held in the covered pavilion behind the building.
